I have been abloe to get hush puppies at Long John Silvers for years... though I have to REALLY be in the mood for their fast food fish. As for BBQ, I grew up in Detroit with Detroit ribs being almost as famous as Buffalo (where I now live) Wings. I only discovered things like pulled pork within the last couple of years... wow! There is a neat place in Buffalo called Fat Bob's Smokehouse that has -real- good stuff, but I'm sure it's nothing compared to the real thing.

They have a great smoker out back that gets fired up with oak every morning. All the sauces and rubs are from scratch. And the macaroni and cheese is absolutely outstanding.....everything is home made...if you're in Buffalo and looking for Barbecue - Fat Bob's - its on Virginia Place just off Allen Street between Delaware and Franklin. >
