Service is usually lacking. The only redeeming quality of the place is the atmosphere and location, especially if you're lucky enough to get a table on the patio. Just down the canyon as you leave Espanola is a much better restaurant, El Paragua. Food and service are both MUCH better than Rauncho de Chimayo. Rancho de Chimayo is highly over-rated.
