Hah! I live in the Cherry Hill area! Will your conference going to be held at the Cherry Hill Hilton? If so, just across the street from the Hilton, there are a couple of family restaurants, but no wine lists there. If I am not mistaken, the restaurant in the Hilton (the name escapes me), is well regarded in the area and should have a decent wine list. There's a farely formal Italian restaurant called Lombardi's a half mile east of the hotel, but I would not classified it as a family restaurant. Its very upscale food and atmosphere. There are numerous other locally owned restaurants in the area too.

Across from the Hilton (but about half a mile walk) is a very nice and reasonably priced supermarket called ShopRite where you can get snacks to bring back to your room or a sandwhich or some other takeout food if you're not in the mood to stay in your hotel room. Its a good place to go for a bite to eat for lunch too.

There's the Diamond Diner, which is about one mile east of the hotel that's open 24 hours and they have a decent wine selection, for a diner. They have great breakfasts and a salad bar with a small selection of fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, and nice service. There's also a barbecue place on Route 70. Its called Red, Hot, & Blue and its next to the Holiday Inn, about halfway between the Diamond Diner and the Hilton, but its been a while since I last ate there so I don't recall if they're licensed to serve wine, but I would be very surprised if they weren't.

Don't miss eating at least one meal in Philadelphia. You'll only be about twenty minutes from the city and a $3.00 one way toll. My favorite is Ralph's which is the oldest family owned Italian restaurant in the country. Ralph's is located on 9th Street in South Philly, between Catherine and Christian Streets. The prices there are moderate, but they accept only cash for payment.

If you need any other suggestions about restaurants or other aspects of Cherry Hill, let me know.

Cafe Lamberti, on Rt 70, has a liquor license. I can't think of any other good places that have liquor licenses.

There are a bunch of very good BYOB spots, like Siri's (Thai-French), Emerald Fish (mostly seafood, a few meat entrees) and La Campagne (Provencal inspired).
