Yo Denise - While White House Subs doesn't fit in the romantic category, it is decidedly "non-formal." A short walk for the casino hotels, some say their hoagies and cheesesteaks are better than any found in Enjoy.

Need suggestions for Atlantic City/Margate/Ventnor Area
Someone wrote: : Anybody have any suggestions for non-formal dining in the AC vicinity? : Romantic would be a plus. We will be there the 2nd week of August. : Thanks, The Knife and Fork is an old time restaurant that is either on Atlantic or Pacific Ave and has been consistent as one of the best and not out of line price wise. Dock's is a seafood restaurant in the same price range. Atlantic City is not like Vegas, they are not cheap and IMO you have to hunt for good quality. There is an italian restaurant one block off the boardwalk and just north of of Resorts Casino that was OK and reasonably priced. mvs

This is a very inexpensive restaurant with a simple menu of pizza, spaghetti, roast beef and a few other things plus a decent selection of beer. If you go there, go early because the line during the dinner rush can be a block or two long.

That sounds like Tucci's,on Pacific Ave.So far its my favorite italian place in AC.Everything is good there,I especially like the veal.Entrees are 15-25 bucks, staff(apparently a family) are real friendly, they even put some Sinatra music on the tape player at my request. Not really romantic though, the whole dining room is done up in mirrors. But they have pictures on the wall of Dom DeLuise eating there,a man who obviously knew his food.
Mama Motts on New york Ave has pretty good italian food.12 South,on
Indiana Ave. looks like your basic barroom but serves the best steak in town.
Best Bet in AC is to avoid the casino restaurants, there all kinds of
little joints on the commercial streets that give you a lot better value.
If one must dine in a casino/hotel,I would recommend the Harbor View at
Trumps Castle. The seafood is pretty good, and the view at sunset is memorable.
