I've only been to the Hotel Winnemucca where I shared a table and tales with a gold prospector and a railroad worker. They seat you table by table, amassing each tableful from whoever is waiting in the bar, and keep basic food coming and coming until you holler "mercy" or the Basque translation of the same. Solid, down to earth fare, but the fun is the staff and, especially, your table mates. Seem to remember a solid, down to earth red wine served in water glasses.
