Sushi in the Flamingo Hilton is pretty good.

There's a place called the Tillerman that does good salads and seafood. The wait can be long (no reservations and take a taxi).

Pamplemouse is good, but fails your price requirement and then some.

One N+I I found a great Indian place... Shalimar was the name. It was in a little strip mall where Ruth's Chris is (and a Japanese place) across the street from a Brazilian place. Taxi will get you there.

I also found an Ethiopian (well, it might have just been labelled "African", but I think it was Ethiopian) place that was very good, but just can't remember the name...

One good bet is to ask the taxi driver on the way to the hotel for some suggestions of good places to eat, not fancy places, and tell the cabbie the kind of foods you like. Once they understand that you're looking for GOOD and not the usual CHEAP, they're often quite helpful... That's how I found the Indian and Ethiopian places.

Lindo Michoacan is absolutely wonderful (I wish it were here in the Bay Area).

Don't miss it.
