Near Lake TaHoe (south I think) is a charming, small resort called 'Sorenson's'. The restaurant is small, but may seat 25 or 30; and the food was excellent and well-prepared (by which I mean healthy). The cabins there are also well worth a visit, if you're considering places to stay as well. I haven't their phone # with me, but I do reccommend the place very highly. Best wishes, tracie.

South Lake Tahoe Restaurants
Tracie wrote about Sorenson's. It is about 25 miles south of South Lake Tahoe on HWY 88 near Markleevile, seen it but never stopped. My favorite dinner spot in South Lake Tahoe is Swiss Chalet on HWY50. It is a fabulous restaraunt with charming decor. German influenced, it has beer steins all around the perimeter of the inside. Plates are from 14 to 25 dollars a plate with a personal recommendation for the best beef straganoff ever at 16 dollars. They have steaks, seafoods and stroudles(sp?). A must, if not this time, next!
