Garlic Cafe an interesting and neat place.
They even have garlic ice cream, and you
can order your food by number of garlic cloves.
Kinda California/artsy inside.

I agree wholeheartedly. We went out this past spring and the people we were with wanted to do it up. I had posted here and on travel and someone gave me

We ate at the Palace Court at Caesars and it was great, albeit VERY pricey. Our share for two with wine was $190.

The next night, I CHOSE, and it was The Garlic Cafe (take a cab). Great meal in a friendly place and cost us $50 for two!!

Last night we hit the Golden Nugget buffet (always in the top three) and it was great at $25 for two.

enjoy.

Bally's has a pretty good buffet called The Big Kitchen. At least it did in June 1996.
The guidebooks at the time put it in the Top 3 of buffets. Back then, 15 months ago, I think it was still in the $10.00 range, though I may be confusing it with a lunch price.
I ate there several times, at different times of the day.

We ate there and it was good, but I was kind of disappointed. Even at the highest "garlic level" of 5, the food was not outrageously spicy. We complained and the waitress told us that we could have had it higher but they don't usually tell people that.

I seem to recall that we had an assorted platter of appetizer salads and that they were great.

One of our fav. restaurants in Las Vegas is Chicago Joes, which is in a little
house about 10 blocks from the downtown strip. Not pretentious, just good
italian food and not pricey. Take a cab or drive, do not walk!!! Not
 necessarily the best neighborhood.

Have only been to LV once. But I did eat at LaScala's Itlian Resturant. The did the Calamari perfectly. Don't know the pricing, I was being treated by a drug company.
