I have always found Reno to be more of a food wasteland than Vegas used to be, until now. Just got back after visiting my brother in Tahoe and we went to a place in Reno called Cafe Soleil. It's on the southern outskirts of the city, off McCarren. Don't be put off by its location in a shopping center. The food is wonderful and it has a very creative nouvelle California style menu. I can especially recommend the grouper with mango-habanero relish. Good luck.
