Vegas is where the buffets are. We were there for Comdex. I liked the Mirage the best. It's a little pricier than some, but incredible quality and selection. Avoid Circus Circus. It's cheap, but tastes it. The buffet at the Luxor is very good. It's hard to say which is best. Pick up one of the guides which are handed out free everywhere and look for something in your price range. Hard to go wrong.

The place the locals eat at is Palace Station, a nice hotel that happens to be a mile or so on the other side of the highway. Their breakfast buffets are great, and I understand the other meals are top notch as well. Prices are, as you would expect, very reasonable.

Having recently returned from Las Vegas I ate at another local favorite buffet at the Rio Hotel and Casino. Dinner was $7.95 and well worth it. There are five different serving lines featuring; American, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, and a Mongolian BBQ which in this case is called an Amazon Grille. In any case the food is excellent and worth the wait (20 minutes on a Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m.). Also desserts are from a bakery case and include a wide variety. Avoid the Riveria, overpriced for the quality of the food being served. Have fun.
