Had previously always recommended The Rio Buffet. But we were there in November, the quality of the food was not worth the price of almost $15 per person (with non-alcoholic beverage). Would go the little restaurant just north of the Motel 6 on Tropicana Blvd. I think it is called Jeremiah's (spelling ???). Like the food, well prepared, fresh and unusual.

I would recommend the Big Kitchen Buffet at Bally's. One of my favorites there is the huge bowl of peel and eat shrimp.

Here's another vote for Bally's Big Kitchen. I haven't eaten dinner there, but their breakfast and lunch buffets are an excellent value. The selection is not as vast as the Rio, but then none of Bally's food tastes like cardboard either (cardboard sushi at the Rio? no thanks). Sometimes they have fresh crablegs in addition to the above-mentioned shrimp. Their lunch features made-to-order Chinese food. Yum.

Yes, I'd also recommend Jeremiah's for a nice, quiet atmosphere, food is very well prepared, service is good and the prices are moderate. They used to put on a pretty good free spread for Happy Hour - do they still do that? I haven't been there for some time.
