Nobu's on Olive near 170 and Seki in the Delmar loop both have loyal followings. Choi's out on Dorsett and McKelvey isn't too bad, but it's more a Filipino/Korean restaurant than a Japanese like the previous two. However, I hear the best sushi in town (for price) is served by the Ritz Carlton during Happy Hour. Johann

I don't think anyone has yet mentioned I Love Mr. Sushi, which is about eight blocks west of Nobu's on Olive. Tiny storefront place with a very funny sushi chef. Chois in Maryland Heights on Dorsett and McKelvey has some very good lunch deals, so does I <heart> Mr. Sushi on Olive in Olivette. Best all-around has to be Nobu's but you'll drop a few bucks. For that, I would limit myself to Nobu's, I Love Mr. Sushi, Seki, Tachibana and probably Sansui (although I haven't been to Sansui in over a year). I think I've just decided what I'm going to do for lunch today :-). joe b.

Kristi E. wrote: > Does anyone know where to get good Sushi here? Sure! The sushi's good at Seki in the Delmar Loop and at I Love Mr. Sushi on Olive, just west of 170. I used to like the sushi at Nobu's, but I quit going there a couple of years ago after a BAAAD dining experience. > >

The Ritz Carlton in Clayton has great Sushi and surprisingly it is reasonably priced. ---------- In article , Kristi M Evans Someone wrote: >Does anyone know where to get good Sushi here? > >
Last weekend we had sushi at St. Louis Fish Market (on the landing) and it was quite good. The Misu soup was OK but nothing to write home about. The seaweed salad was not like a traditional Japanese salad, but still a very good salad. I'm always looking for a new place to eat sushi. The sushi menu was not real robust, but I would still recommend this place. I would be happy to hear about other good sushi experiences in St. Louis, especially any new places on the scene. Tom
