Reputedly the best steaks in the area are at Andreas,
a small house out in the woods 15 miles or so east
of St. Louis. Everyone knows it. Get there early,
or have a reservation. I ate there couple of weeks
ago. It was mighty good. Not the best steak I've
ever had, but still well aged, nicely cooked, and big.

If you go, get precise driving directions, since it
	can be hard to find.

For UPSCALE Italian food, try Tony's, the only Mobile Travel Guide Five Star Restaurant in the area and one of fewer than 20 in the country.

Agreed! We've eaten in three Mobil 5-Star places (of course, none of the ones closest to home - yet), and the one we enjoyed the most was Tony's.

For the record, the other two are Maisonnette (actually ate there twice, 2nd time better than 1st) and Ernie's (nice, but there are just so many others in SF to try someday...).

Speaking of Maisonnette, what's the story there now? I thought the chef was retiring. Any changes?
