While I have been known to enjoy a Lion's Choice Roast Beef sandwich - had one for dinner last night, even - by far the absolute most superior roast beef sandwich, especially for you rare aficonados, is at O'Connells Pub. Yes, the same O'Connells known for the best burger in town also has the best roast beef. Ask for it with horseradish and au jus. Go hungry - it is huge!

I've eaten a plethora of O'Connell's Pub food, and I can say with authority that, until the health dept started making 'em cook their burgers no rarer than med well, The Sportmen's Bar on Clayton Rd, just east of I-170, had *much* better burgers than O'Connell's. Just my opinion, but... (But a Sportsman's burger, cooked med well, sucks! I don't do that to perfectly good beef, it's against my religion.)

O'Connell's *does* have a very good cold shrimp appetizer though, very good, also again IMHO.

And they pour a great Black and Tan!

Just don't piss off Jan, the raven haired kinda babe of a waitress! She's got a temper! ;-) (But she spilled a beer on me once, and gave me a freebie, like I'd never had a beer spilled on me before, heh heh! I think I was on her good side.)
