Lunch or Dinner? Budget? Does area of town matter? I see from your addy that you are associated with Wash. University - you want something in that area?

I like the Indian Restaurant at Lindbergh and 70 - good interesting food, good view of operations at Lambert, not horribly expensive.

Depends on how you define "unusual". I see you're at WU, so here are some nearby suggestions, all on the Delmar Loop.

1. Riddle's Penultimate Cafe
Innovative American food, hugest wine list I've ever seen.
2. Addis
Ethiopian--very tasty, fun to eat with a crowd. Mop up that sauce with that injera. So what if it looks like styrofoam, it doesn't taste that way!
3. Thai Seafood Cafe
Yummy, wonderful seafood, some very spicy. A tad pricy. If
you want to spend less, visit the Thai Country Cafe around the
corner. Even cheaper is Thai Gai Yong across the street, but it's
very tiny, so it's hard to take a big group to.

If you want something MORE unusual, give me your definition of the word, and I'll take a crack at it.

Of course, if it is not unusual food but an unusual place, you might try Blueberry Hill. Great burgers, and lots of "atmosphere"
