Hi,

How about these for suggestions? Does anybody have any others that
they might suggest? Because I'd like to know too.

Sakura (Japanese) Rest. in Galtier Plaza, St. Paul Great fresh Sushi
        -----------------------

Buca (Italian) 12th and Harmon MPLS Lot's of good food, big portions
        ----
        try the mussels marinara.

Brits (English Pub) 12th and Nicollet MPLS great beer
        -----

Sawadee for Americanized Thai food Washington St. MPLS
        -------

Royal Orchid for more Authentic style Thai 18th? and Niccolet MPLS
        ------------

Real real Authenic Thai S.E. Asian food Phnom-Phen Bangkok Market
                                                -------------------------
in St. Paul on University behind the Captial

Cosetta's Italian Deli Pizza almost like back home in New York. 7th
        ----------------------
street St. Paul near the Day's Inn Civic center hotel.

The Village Wok for great Cantonese style seafood (Try the Lobster
            -----------
in Black Bean sauce for 11.95) on the U. of M. Campus near the
Radisson Hotel S.E. Washington St. Other good restaurants are in
        the locale.

The Bombay Palace on Niccolet I'd say about 16th street, not great
            -------------
Indian food but the only restaurant one can find in the area. Still
        good though.

Restaurant Shilla on Snelling Ave. good Korean food.
        -----------------

If you want take out roast pork or roast duck try Hien Thain (sp?)
                                                          -----------
in any case its a vietnamese/cambodian/chinese grocery store on
niccolet about 25th st. MPLS It has some ducks painted on the window.
The sign has orange yellow lettering. The store is located on the
west side of the street when headed south. If I'm not mistaken
its right accross the street from the police precinct. In any
case excellent roast pork and duck.

The Bavarian GaustHaus Hunter rest. in Stillwater excellent German
            -------------------------------
food lots of German beer on tab. Its a bit hard to describe how to
get there first get to Stillwater then ask somebody, that's what I
did the first time I went there. I'd try the FINA gas station in
        downtown for directions.

Needless to say I'm into ethnic food.

I'm looking for a Swedish Restaurant and possibly more Indian
and what about real Spanish or Portuguese or maybe Polish or
Russian does anybody have any suggestions?

                                                Cheers,

I believe there's a Sawadee in Dwntwn St. Paul also, by Rice Park

this is killer stuff - I love the pizza - great lasagna - great take outs - my cousin orders the garlic bread, salad & lasagna for in home use - in the grocery section - they have the best porketta/porchetta in town - I always stop by David's place when I'm in town

also, down in the river industrial are off Robert Street is Awada's - great Lebanese food - they make a great La'ham Mish'we <sp?> lamb shiskabob served with tabouli salad, garlic sauce & Lebanese rice - this is another must on my list when I'm in town

and on Grand Ave (Grand & Victoria) is Ciatti's Italian food - they have a salad (like Italian Gardens would hope to be like) that is so good and they'll refill it for you with fresh bread - their Italian foods are delicious - at lunch time their Caesar sada is filling!!!

and, if you have room, go across the hallway to the dessert place - sinful/decadent chocolates (and the cafe lattes, etc to go with them)

kiddie corner is the hagen daz store with a croissant shop next to it that serve both sandwich croissants and dessert ones
