You can't beat Boone's Long Lake. I guess it has an international reputation for "generous portions" with good value and well prepared. Plan on having a doggy bag when you leave. Great atmosphere and Northern Michigan friendly staff. We had my daughter's wedding rehearsal banquet there. Some of my relatives won't consider their trip to Traverse complete if they don't eat at Boone's. I know of at least 3 trips they made from downstate just to have dinner there. Look around..you will see one. Bowers Harbor Inn and Windows will impress.
