Troy is home to a great mall- Somerset- which has Michigan's only Nordstorm's and most upscale Hudson's. The mall has a couple of good restaurants. I ate at Alexander's the last time I was in Michigan. A very nice bistro. There is also a Calf. Pizza Kitchen, a nice place for a chain. There is one place which looks nice but has awful service. Can't remember the name but it is on the Southern side of the mall (actually, the mall is in two buildings with a bridge connecting them. The bad restaurant is near the bridge on the southern side). A great web site for Detroit area restaurants is http://www.crainsdetroit.com/.
