Just had takeout from Merlion last night.

The highlight was definitely the fried squid balls,
finely minced squid, rolled in some kind of flour
(I think), and deep fried. Very fresh tasting,
and served with a very good sweet black sauce
 that complemented the squid perfectly.

Fried shrimp were good, but nothing special.
The hot & sour soup was good.

Mee Rebus -- Egg Noodles w beef and eggs, was
smothered in a thick brown spicy gravy, with some
curry as well as other flavors I couldn't
identify. Unusual and good; I was glad I had tried
it, but I might try something else next time.

The curried beef was excellent; we ordered it over
rice, though it came with noodles. Excellent brown
curry sauce, w wonderful thick chunks of beef.
 I had three helpings.

 Seafood Fried Noodles were also very good;
again a very nice sauce, though the shrimp had a
very weird taste. I think they were saturated with
a ginger flavor so strong it almost made them taste moldy.

All in all, we were very happy with the food, especially
since the total was less than $25 for this feast, and
they delivered within half an hour.
I'll definitely be getting food here again.
