Robert.. you need to get out more. :) Just joking. If you think Ginza is the
best in New England.. perhaps you haven't been to Sushi Island in Wakefield. As
my friend Tabby in Florida would say... "Fandamntastic!"

Unfortunately, the last time I ate at Ginza, about two months ago, was
strikingly similar to Marc's experience. Soup and salad arrived after our
sushi. We had to remind the waitress that soup came with our meals; something
they should know. We had to ask repeatedly for tea, and then repeatedly for
refills. Sushi was ok, but not outstanding. The only thing we didn't have to
ask for was the bill, which they just sort of dropped in front of us. We had
ordered some extra pieces of sushi from the chefs; this had not been included
on the bill. Oh well, their loss. The waitress didn't get a very good tip
either. I feel the 10% we left was quite generous considering the service.
(This was at lunch on a weekday.. they weren't crowded either).

I have to agree that the service at Ginza in Chinatown in a word, "sucks". I
go for lunch there often but less then I used to, usually when the entire
group I work with goes. Several Chinese, in the group, both ABC and
FBC suggested that since it is Chinese run, the level of service is
commiserate with all the other places in Chinatown. I agree. We never tip
more than 10-15% accordingly. When you have a large group they add the
 gratuity automatically.

While the Sushi is not quite as good, for me the high level of attentiveness
provided at Fugaku makes this the more desirable place to eat.

I have not been to "Sushi Island in Wakefield" based on the talk here, I'll
 be going soon.
