The East-Coast Grille in Cambridge is one of my favorite restaurants. They're famous for wood grilled meats which are heavily marinated and herb-seasoned. Seafoods too. Owner Chris Schlesingers has 2 cookbooks out which will make excellent Christmas gifts. I prefer "License to Grille" of the two. His primary advice is to marinate the meats for several hours before grilling. he's not afraid to mix a number of spice concoctions which work very well, especially with lamb and pork. For people who like to BBQ, his books are excellent. I like to pull them out on a Saturday about 5pm...open a real oaky Chardonnay, followed by a fruity merlot while we get the meats marinating, before getting the charcoal going. John Gallagher
