For Mexican, I would recommend Mexican Cuisine (at the Black Forest Cafe)
on Mass. Ave. just north of Harvard Square in Cambridge. It is authentic
Yucutan Penninsula (I think) style. The chef makes trips to Mexico
quite often. The Chicken-Corriander Soup is one of my favorites. Sol
Azteca in Brookline, not far from Fenway Park and Kenmore Square is also
very good Mexican, though slightly more "usual" fare.

Hope you have a great trip!

There is a new Italian restaurant downtown, near the Meridian Hotel
that reviewers and friends have liked, although I haven't been yet.
It's called Il Pannino; there's a restauant and a less expensive
bistro. The food is supposed to be more like that in Italy than
 any other place around here.

Just ate at La Groceria in Central Square, Cambridge for the first
 time in years. It's great!
