The best kept secret for dim sum is actually in the Chestnut Hill Mall at
Bernard's. Bernard Leung is the owner who owns several restaurants around
Boston including his flagship establishment in Back Bay (on Boylston ST.
between Clarendon and Dartmouth) formerly called Mr. Leung's (it recently
changed its name). Even though it is not served on your traditional
carts, all the food are fresher, tastier and always at the right
temperture. Since the secrets of good dim sum (come to think of it almost
all other cuisine) are the freshness of the ingredients and the elapsed
time between preparation and consumption, this is where Bernard's truly
excel. Furthermore, the waitstaff is professional, courteous and the
 restaurant is clean!

My wife swears by this restaurant. Coming from a NYC snob like herself it
is truly a complement. It is her opionion they are actually better than
most places in NYC China Town. The only drawback is the level of the
selection and the cost. We almost never venture into Boston China Town
for dim sum except for the authentic Cantonese cousine of Chow Chows.
Give it a shot and know none of you will be disappointed
