Chocolate Brunch in Boston (AYCE)
Sundays, 2-4pm, ~$14or $15 pp. at Le Meridien,
and I believe they only do it September or October through May.
Old Country Buffet, in Watertown Mall
Lunch is something like $7 and dinner is $13 or $14 (lower prices for seniors
and kids.
It's a step above cafeteria food,-- chicken, fish, nothing very fancy.

Watertown Mall is on Arsenal Street
The last time I went to the buffet, the dinner price was $8.29.
It's sort of "lowest common denominator" food, but not all that bad.

You'll find a list of buffet places in Framingham and Natick at
http://www.nww.com/buffet.html. Vital caveat: The Blue Buffalo, listed for
Texan stuff, is no longer open. Whoever did this page should really get
his act together and update the darn thing!

Worth mention for lunch:
o Redbones M-F $6.95 is worth it just for the rice.
o Southeast Asia, Lowell $5.95. Fabulous spicy goodies from
Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia. Super rice paper veggie/spring rolls.

Blue Room (1 Kendall Sq., Cambridge)
I think the price is around $30 by now. It's much more oriented toward lunch
than breakfast -- the last time I went, they had pancakes, some kind of egg
dish,
sausages and bacon, and a wide array of salads and grilled meats. There's also
an
excellent dessert table.
Several of the Indian restaurants in the Central Square, Cambridge,
area have AYCE lunches. And if you want to venture out to Norwood, an
Indian restaurant called Jaipur Cafe has a fantastic AYCE lunch for
$8.95, with a different menu every day (unlike the Central Square
places, which have been serving pretty much the same thing every time
I've gone to them).

Kashmir. An Indian restaurant around the 300 block of Newbury Street in
Boston. Usually an excellent selection for the lunch buffet. I think it's
around $7.50 or $8.00 including naan.

Allow me to second that one. I was helping a friend move into his
dorm at Emerson last fall, and I had an hour to kill while he did some
student-type stuff.
As for good AYCE joints, are there any Brazilian BBQ joints around
here? I've been to the Malibu Grille in DC, and am hoping to find
something similar around here.

For my money, the best Indian AYCE is Bawarchi in Kenmore Square.
Unlike most Indian AYCEs, their selection of dishes does change
rather noticeably from day to day, and it's always pretty darn
tasty. If you like Indian AYCE, but are sick of the pakoras/
samosas/nan/basmati rice/tandoori chicken/matter paneer/chicken
tikka masala/kheer/salad routine, try this place!

Oh, youbetcha. Try the Midwest Grill in Inman Square. MOST
delicious and tasty. Known, among my dinner companions, as
