Although I agree that the Maryland Inn is a wonderfully romantic spot in Annapolis, I have to warn you that the Cafe Normandie has become very inconsistent over the years. Back when it was the Crepe Normande, you could count on consistently excellent food. Several changes in ownership have left them a bit on the shaky side, IMHO. The last time my wife and I went there, they had moved to the larger storefront, and, once again, my crepe arrived tepid. The food is wonderful, when you get it hot, but it's definitely a step down from the glory days. I'd also recommend the Harbour House as a good place to eat, with a nice romantic view of the harbor. Don't go during prime time or you'll find all the window tables taken. Prices aren't too bad, but the food is excellent. -- Jonathan Crawford
