Came across this tiny excellent Polish Restaurant/bakery 825 Stevens Ave, Portland,Me. Bogusha's Polish Rest/Deli Lunch was a sampler platter consisting of a large stuffed cabbage 2 Pierogi (Polish Ravioli) 2 chunks of homemade kielbasa a portion of bogas which was a sweet stew with sausage and kraut. all this for $5.50. desserts are all homemade pastries and such which I didn't try but they looked good. I did try a subtly flavored tomato soup that was just like Grandma made if Grandma was from Warsaw. Polish food is so rare in these parts of New England that I really don't have much to compare this place to, but it stacks up favorably to another small place that is no longer open in Osippee NH which was wonderful. hours are 11am to 9pm monday thru Sat, closed Sunday. directions: from downtown Portland head west on Forest Av for 2 miles (rt 302) to Stevens av intersection (traffic light) turn left onto Stevens. The place is on youy left with a large sign in front. Bogusha's Polish Restaurant and Deli 825 Stevens Av, Portland, ME
