I remember the steamers as excellent, and once they actually had prime rib there, which was quite decent. Maine For Lobster?
If you do not want to drive far up into Maine, try Warren's in Kittery, Yoken's in Portsmouth, or, if you don't mind eating on paper plates and want to save money, eat at Newick's just north of Portsmouth on the road to Dover, NH/ From [email removed] Sat Aug 24 10:40 EDT 1996 X-Sender: [email removed] Mime-Version: 1.0 To: [email removed] Subject: Fore Street Grill Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Length: 758 There is a new restaurant in Portland, Maine called the Fore Street Grill. Everything is cooked over an apple wood fire in the middle of the place. The menu is heavy on game and seafood. No bluefish, thankfully. I've had pheasant, venison, wild mushroom bruschetta, mussels, and a dish called Ttoro. 2 t's. It is grilled lobster, bluefin tuna, halibut, mussels, shrimp, and crab with a spicy Basque tomato sauce. It is not BBQ but everything has a nice subtle smokiness. Sam Hayward is the chef (22 Lincoln and Harraseeket Inn) and co-owns with Dana Street (Street and Co., Walter's, Profetto's, and Standard Baking). It is on Fore Stree across from Friday's.

Without a question one of the best locations for lobster is Cook's Lobster House on the Bailey's/Orr's Island penninsula, just take a right turn at Cooks corner in Brunswick. Shore dinner includes steamers, salads, lobsters and lobster stew or clam chowder.
