Best place I ever ate for the $. Excellent. French Provencial. Good wine list with moderate prices; $10 corkage fee if you bring your own. In a lousy part of the french quarter. Take a cab to the restaurant (corner of Rampart and Dumaine) and jog to the door. Do not part within a mile if you like your car. But worth the trip.

i would like to say that i AGREE. i am originally from new orleans and the french provencial was one of my families favorite restaurants! the food is wonderfull as well as the service and the price aint bad! go if ya get the chance but remember never walk through the quarter like a tourist look like ya know where you are going! gila
