Mr. B's, Commander's, G&E courtyard Grill, Vizard's, Palace Cafe, Bacco, Tujaques, Port-o-Call, Poppy's/Clover Grill, Bayona, etc. etc. etc.

So many fine restaurants, so short a lifetime....what a great place to live!

Tell us a little more about your trip and you might get more specific suggestions.

all of the previous are great . Add Irenes to that list. In the French Quarter - they don't heavily advertise. Great local place. Italian.

We might be the only people who feel this way, but four of us dined at Brigtsens in Oct., and all 4 of us were disappointed. With all the eating that we did in NO, cannot be specific in the items that we had there, but I remember all of us saying that the sauces (on all our main courses) were wonderful, but everything underneath the sauce was dry and and very poor. Desserts were fair at best, and only one person liked their appetizer. Of course, this is just OHO, but I give it anyway, FWIW!

Just a suggestion: don't overlook "The Coffee Pot" restaurant on St. Peter St. It's not much to look at, but the food is WONDERFUL.

Another old favorite is Galatoire's. You have to stand in line, and it's kinda old fashioned, but the fish is still fabulous.

OBTW, When last in NO I took 13 people to dinner at Emeril's. Both the food and the service were first rate.
