I have to dissent from the recommendation of Court of 2 Sisters - It's HORRIBLE, unles you like tourist traps. The hot place now is Gabriele's near City Park; it's great; also a great smaller place in the uptown area is Gautreau's. Also, NOLA in quarter is owned by Emeril. Enjoy. [email removed]

My favorite place also is Trois Jacques in the french quater. Get the Garlic Chicken even if its not on the entre list that night. Its great! Just down the street is Cafe Mespero's a lot cheaper and also really good! Any one know how Trois Jacques makes that Garlic Chicken? It has large potato wedges, half a brest, a leg, thigh and wing with lots of Olive Oil and Tony Thachers seasoning, but how is the chicken prepared? Is it just fried in Olive Oil? Is flour or cracker/corn meal used on the coating? Its the best restaurant I've found in N.O. Rich in PA
Just got back from NO. Irenes on Chartres and St Philip was great. So were Bayona, Comanders palace, K-Pauls (don't get a cajun martini) and of course Cafe Du Monde. Okay were House of Blues (but neat interior) and Acme Oyster House. Not okay were Ritas, Brunings .
