To all Midwesterners reading this newsgroup: I noticed that Midwest Living Magazine, which really does a neat job at picking out undiscovered restaurants, is on the Web, and one of the things they have is a selection of recommended restaurants, including phone number to call. The list is set up state by state from Indiana and Michigan and Ohio in the east to the Dakotas, Kansas and Nebraska on the west.
