There is a cafe in Kita-Kamukura (just 1/2 an hour away from Yokohama/Tokyo stations) called CAFE GECKO. The chef/owner's name is Rodger and he is
>from California (with some Japanese ancestory).
An interesting chap - he even has an english degree from Yale. He also cheffed at Trader Vics.
He made the BEST hamburgers and falafels in Japan I reckon!!!! A shrimp, sauce and cheese concoction on muffin was also delicious. He made everything from scratch - soups, mince mixture for the hamburgers, falafel mixture.
I wonder if he is still there - does anyone know?
If you know anyone going to Japan - or you live there, go try the food.
KB - from New Zealand
As this is a work address I won't leave my email address. Put if you care to leave a note on the newsgroup please call the subject "JAP GECKO".
