During my 10 day stay in Venice last April I have eaten in various restaurants. The most outstanding one was "Antico Martini" near St. Mark's Square and La Fenice Theatre. It is a very elegant restaurant with romantic atmosphere, the waiters are very kind and the food is excellent. I discovered this nice restaurant through its web site http://www.anticomartini.com which is one of the best sites I have seen for a restaurant. In this site I appreciated the wonderful pictures and the quality of information, including recipes of the restaurant with photos of the dishes, and typical Venetian recipes. There are also promotions and discounts for net surfers and a page about events and art exhibitions in Venice. And to such a beautiful site corresponds really a beautiful restaurant! If you want to save money I recomend also "Vino Vino" which is a wine bar near Antico Martini with good Venetian dishes at very reasonable prices and an excellent wine list. Peter Schneider
