Craig I have a place NOT to go. A couple of years ago, I was on a group tour, and we somehow got hooked into eating at _Trattoria del Turista_ (the name is pretty close to that). We knew by the name that we were in for an interesting meal. We wound up calling it the Trappa del Turista--it was by far the worst meal I have ever eaten in Italy. They seemed to try to recreate the worst kind of old-fashioned American neighborhood Italian restaurant. It's in the Duomo-Leaning Tower area--if you walk away from the Tower and get to the Piazza, it's a block or two to the left. Note of caution--it WAS a large group, and no restaurant does as well with a group as it does with individual diners, but I have no desire to see if it can do any better. -Neal Plotkin [email removed] MITRE Corporation (703) 883-7167 7525 Colshire Dr McLean VA 22102
