It won't compare to what you had in Tennessee, but we have had a bit of an upsurge here in Bloomington, IN, recently. The Rib Cage on North Walnut is the better of them, with some great southern side dishes- mixed greens and real banana pudding. Yogi's on 10th and Indiana does competition style 'cue, which means it comes out a little too moist sometimes from the water-cooking.

I have spotted some rib places in Indy with real smoking pits lined up outside, and real smoke comin' out too, but I haven't checked out the goods yet.

There has been a 'cue joint in Richmond, but they use gas and electric smokers.

Shyler's in Evansville is the best around the area. While in Evnsville stop at the Hilltop and have a brain sandwich.
