:Amazingly, after 10 years in HP, never been to Valois, but we better remedy :that soon. And, yes, Thai Twee is a regular on our list -- great Tom Ka :Kai (sp?).
Valois has consistently decent cheap food. They make the best breakfast in Hyde Park as far as I am concerned. The butterfish at Thai Twee is quite good as well.
As for Toddlin Town Grill, I have had some excellent stuff there, but it is very inconsistent. A few of the things I have had were positively wretched. The service staff also has quite a few people who have little experience from what I could tell. Since I tend to eat out a fair amount, I hope that it is just the usual new restaurant problems. Regardless I probably will not try them again for awhile.Chicago, IL

Personally, I think Thai Twee is the worst Thai restaurant in Hyde Park. The times I went there the dishes were very bland with very little flavor. Snail on 55th street and S. Hyde park Blvd. is much better and they have great service. I've been to Valois a couple of times but never found much appeal. It seems kinda pricely, but I haven't tried their breakfasts which others say is good.
