I second this endorsement--this place is wonderful and incredibly inexpensive.

Take the Red Line to Argyle. Go east to Broadway...a block or so.

Then go north. Not far.

And it's Uptown, not Edgewater (I think)

I should have left my first post stand... [sheeez!] Lanna Thai at 5029 N. Broadway no longer exists. That was their lunch place, which was great also, but didn't last. The place I'm talking about is at 5951 N. Broadway, and that IS Thorndale! And the liquor store is on Thorndale too. I've been going there so long, I don't pay attention to the streets - just pull over and park when I get there. Well, in case anyone has been rushing down to Argyle, there's a terrific Vietnamese place just under the el tracks on the north side of Argyle...
