A Taste of Heaven on Foster just west of Ashland.

Lutz's Cafe on Montrose just west of Western.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Bittersweet on Belmont near Racine. Not only is it the best desserts but they also do some of the best bday cakes you'll ever have & they have a decent lunch menu as well. Named by New City as the Best Bakery/cafe in '95(which is how I found out about them). There is always a selection of tarts & pies available & they have miniature versions of them as well if you don't want to buy a huge one. I just recently found out that you can order Tiramisu to be filled in your own dish or bowl. All you have to do is give them a few days notice. Although the service tends to be on the slow side(I think the only requirement to have to wait on tables there is that you have at least half a brain..because the girl who was serving me looked & acted like she just had a lobotomy). Other than the inexperienced counterstaff..desserts are just simply wonderful. There is also a huge glass window so you can see what goes on in the kitchen.

The one you recommend avoiding is Enisa's. I havent been there.
