How far west, Jim... Here's a few that we've gone to in the Fox Valley...

The Courtyard (Rt. 59, Warrenville, a mile or so north of Rt. 56) - Normally a banquet hall, they have a good, inexpensive brunch on Sundays. I thinks it about $10 per adult. Decent selection of breakfast items, limited lunch items, great desserts.

Erik and Me (Rt. 31 and Illinois Street, St. Charles) - Very good brunch, but call ahead since they get crowded.

Pheasant Run Resort (Rt. 64 east of St. Charles) - Huge brunch, but you pay for it! The last time we were there is was about $28/person, but it was wonderful.

Old Church Inn - St. Charles, on the west side of town, just north of Rt. 64(Main St.) - As thename says, an old church. We haven't been there for a year or so, butthe brunch was about $20 but was great.

Villa Olivia (Bartlett, I think, of of Lake St., Rt. 20 a couple of miles west of Rt. 59) - Another expensive one, but great.

Cadilac Ranch - Bartlett, on Lake St just west of Rt. 59 - Its been ayear or so, so I would call to make sure they still do a brunch. When we went it was reasonable priced and very good. They had a good selection of both beakfast and lunch items including barbeque.

Hope this helps... I'd be interestedin learning about moreplaces in the Fox Valley...
