I've only tried one dish so far. The place is long, rectangular. Pictures of food hang on the wall, and when you look over the counter you can see the food being prepared. I got Singapore noodles (I love noodle dishes). Wow, they went over board and gave me fried rice and an egg roll too. It was one of the types of egg rolls I don't usually like - heavily battered, tough shell - but I think this was the best egg roll I had ever had. Maybe I was just very hungry. It was too hot to eat and I had to vent my bites and blow on the roll. The ingredients were crunchy if they were vegetables, and tender if meat. The Singapore noodles were decent though I still think the ones at Fortune Kookie north of Schaumburg are still my favorite. Another thing I like about this place, is that under the pay counter you could look at different types of teas, and buy almond cookies. I bought some almond cookies while I wated for my food. My other simple pleasure was at a restaurant on 59, can't remember hte name but I think it is in the neighborhood of Stearns road, perhaps. It might be Seven Seas? I think it's a small chain. I ordered the Chow Fun, house special style, and hte noodles came with a mixture of stickiness and slickness that I found highly appealing. I don't know if that's they way they're supposed to be, but I don't care. oh, and for an engineering marvel- I love their napkins. They are are paper but almost have the texture of cloth. I kept thinking that if I had the formula for that I would open a roadside stand and sell paper clothes for bad laundry days. Fortune Stix 1567 N. Aurora Road, Unit 139 At the Riverbrook Shopping Center next to Dominicks Seven Seas? somewhere on Rt. 59 near Stearns or Bartlett Rd (on the east side)? (I forgot to get a menu) sh

They also have a restaurant on Lake St in Roselle (West of Bloomingdale rd). I have not been there in years (Just a little too far for fast take out for us). But we enjoyed everything we tried there very much. Lately, we have ben going to Ye's for carryout at Army Trail rd and County Farm Rd (Southwest corner strip mall). Last night we tried Pineapple and Chicken Fried Rice. It was very different with the pinapple in it, but I did like it. If you want hot (Spicy) dishes, you can ask them to kick it up a notch as they normally don't hit the "hot" dishes too hard. -Todd
