Seafood (Near North Side) wanted

Don't know if budget is an issue, but Shaw's (IMO) is one of the best places in the city for fresh, quality, seafood. It's on Hubbard, just east of State. They have a 'sister' restaurant in the same building called the Blue Crab Lounge with a more casual atmosphere and a darn good oyster bar (and Anchor Steam on draft, since you mention the bay area).

If it's great fish you want and aren't interested in a lot of foo foo attitude, try Riza's at about 5300 N. Clark St. They sell more white fish than any other rest. in Chicago. Why? Because it's the best. The salmon is good too and the prices are OK. White fish is 8.95 and salmon is about 12.95 and that includes soup, a little plate of onions, radishes and goat chees, and all the Persian bread you want. I've been going there often and find the food is consistantly good.
