I've got to go with Parky's hot dogs on Roosevelt in Berwyn. Crispy, greasy, and salty - the trinity.

Its a drive, but you have to try Pete's Famous at the intersection of Route 64 (North Avenue) and Route 47 in Lily Lake (about 10 miles west of St. Charles). The fries are cut from fresh potatoes on site, and are greasy, salty, have a firm bite (not mushy), and taste great!
