Try Convito Italiano on Sheridan Rd in Winnetka -- Great Food, Italian, and they should be able to deal with 20, with advance notice (though it might be a hassle . . .call first) __________________________________________________________________

It is noisy though - not the place for a quiet business meeting. A more upscale, quite place is La Bella Winnetka, in downtown Winnetka. The food is excellent, & the owner/host, a charmer. Crawdaddy Bayou is a kick, the only drawback is that the noise is way past the level where you'll be able to have any interaction with anybody other than your nearest neighbor. But a real fun place. >A more upscale, quite place is La Bella Winnetka, in downtown Winnetka. >The food is excellent, & the owner/host, a charmer. I agree with Charlie on this one too, as far as good food. But I feel the place has fallen in love with itself on pricing, and can get very expensive. IMHO it's out of the "good value" category. A couple of other suggestions: There is a fairly new MicroBrewery called Flatlanders on Old Half Day Road just East of Milwaukee Ave. Again, it's noisy but is a nice alternative with some pretty good beers and food. They also have a decent wine list. In the middle of Highland Park next to the old movie theater is the Central Cafe, which is a French Bistro run by Carlos of Carlos's in Highwood. This is an absolute gem. But get a reservation in early if this sounds good. In Lake Forest is SUSHI KUSHI TOYO which just expanded their seating. Very good Japanese food. In fact good enough that several of our Japanese guests have asked to return a second, or third time. It's located just North of Everett Road on Waukegan Road in a strip mall with Sunset Grocery store.
