I hate to tell you Frank, but in the St.Charles area, there are NO Mexican restaurants at all. As far as Elgin goes, I really don't go near Elgin to find out. West Chicago has a few good ones. If you like real Mexican you can try Mexico Chiquito on Main Street in West Chicago. I go to Mexican restaurants that I see real Mexicans eating. Mexico Chiquito is always busy and has very good food. There is a place in Elgin next to the gambling boat, but they have pretty bad food. Thats all I know about that area.

Lalo's in Bolingbrook is a small "homeade authentic" atmosphere with great food at a great price. On Friaday/Saturdays therer are usual two Mariachi that wander around and play. It's not the fanciest Mexican food but definatly worth a visit, they're famous for their margaritas.
