Personal recommendations: Shaw's (pricey, but excellent seafood) Gold Coast Dogs (my favorite place for a cheeseburger) Sayat Nova (delicious Armenian food) Ben Pao (Asian) Jaipur Palace (buffet lunch; across the street from Shaw's) Heaven on Seven Fog City Diner recently opened on Dearborn and Illinois, but I haven't been there yet.
