I've been there several times and always quite enjoyed the food. Typical buffet setup, you go get your own selection of marinated meats, veggies, rice, etc. and bring it back to your table to cook. There is a lot to choose from in the buffet. I particularly liked the squid marinated with some kind of hot spices. The only negative for me was that the waitstaff has been noticeably less friendly to those of us who aren't obviously asian. Garden Buffet 5347 N. Lincoln 773-728-1249 -L.

It's called San Soo Gab San, open 24 hours, very tasty. Lainie Christopher R. wrote: > There's a restaurant on Western -- I think it's at the corner of Foster. > Anyone know this place? Kalbi 3752 W. Lawrence has been my favorite. I haven't been there in a while. Also there's one right across the street from Midori Japanese Restaurant (which is really owned by Koreans), on Bryn Mawr. I don't know the name, but it is also really good. Just head to Bryn Mawr, between Kedzie and Kimball, there's at least two Korean places. Be adventurous. You'll enjoy it. BTW....one of my favorite sushi meals is really a Korean sushi at Midori. They make a chirashi but will put it on cold buckwheat noodles with chopped dark grren lettuce, with the fishes chopped into cubes. You take a bowl of this spicy hot garlic sauce and pour it on top and mix the whole thing together. Man that's good. It's called Chirashi Korean Style on the menu at Midori.

There is also a new place further south on Milwaukee (but still north of Golf). I don't remember the name, but the building looks like it was a Red Lobster or something in a previous life. Went there once, and it was good also.

Dinner is about $17 a person that includes tip which is automatically added and tax, less for lunch. Like the names says its an all you can eat buffet. It has a center charcoal grill that they bring out to grill the different korean meats. All the different side dishes and various soups. It also has some sushi. If you never tried korean food, it's a great place to sample. If your an expert, you'll love all the different foods. The place is not much on decor but the food is good.
