kid-friendly places downtown, Lincoln Park, or Lakeview

Greek Islands on Halsted does a good job when we have our kids downtown (ages 12,10 and 6), and the adults come away happy as well.

Its not too quiet, it can be quick if you need it to be as most of the food is already cooked, the flaming saganaki is cheap entertainment, and our kids find the food kid friendly: not too spicy, meats, potatoes, bread, soup, meatballs, dessert.

And best of all its great food and wine for the adults, instead of a gimmicky tourist trap.

Goose Island Brewery on Clyborn is a good place for kids. Not too quiet, good food & beer. You can also eat on their enclosed patio if it is nice out. It is easy to get to from Kennedy Expressway.

Thanks for everyone for the suggestions. FWIW, we were planning on going to Goose Island, but ended up at Rock Bottom, as we were shopping downtown and got caught in Saturday's wicked thunderstorm.

Rock Bottom worked out great -- they have a kids menu, and our waiter was fantastic with the kids.
