Try Cafe Spiaggia at Michigan and Oak.  Moderate prices, particularly when compared to its' big sister restaurant.  I love the Cafe and frequently lunch there when I am shopping in the neighborhood or catching a movie at the Esquire.

Coco Pazzo Cafe on St. Clair (in a hotel that is now a Motel 6)is quite good, and not terribly expensive.
