Hacienda Teclitlan on Ashland

My husband and I went to Hacienda Tecalitlan a few time when it first opened a couple of years ago. We like the atmosphere and the food. Everything including the tables and the fountain were brought from Mexico. We went back about a year ago and found the food over priced and bland. I know a few people who have been there within the last year and also haven't been too happy with their food. A better bet for Mexican would be the Tecalitlan on Chicago (1814 W. Chicago Ave.) just a few blocks west of Hacienda Tecalitlan. Or for a treat try some Mexican seafood at El Barco, it looks like a boat ont he outside (1035 N Ashland Ave.)--try the mixed grill for two or more, you'll have food for days!
