Great cajun place

Also, just down the street a few doors at Shanahan's bar and restaurant (I believe they're both owned by the same guy), they have lots of Cajun on the menu that's a little less expensive. At both places the food has been _excellent_ and, in addition, the service has been _very_ good and friendly. They are really nice places to eat. I was waiting for someone to mention this place in all the cajun food threads, but I, somewhat selfishly I guess, had not posted about it yet. in my humble cajun opinion for true cajun "in town", try "heaven on seven"...111 north wabash.
A group of us took your advice and trekked out to Crescent City last night from Evanston. It was well worth it. We had a great time and a terrific dinner. It was virtually empty though. While January may be a down month for restaurants let's hope more people frequent good places such as Crescent City or they won't be around for us to enjoy for very long. PAUL
